Julia's First Christmas

We decided to throw a Christmas Eve party with friends and family (KeyYong ;-) this year. We invited a Nik, Reese, their labradoodle Humphrey, and Julia's friend Sidney, her brother Ian and their parents Heather and John. We had a nice dinner and opened a few presents. KeyYong, Julia and I went to the Pike Place Market to check out a few of the stores there.

Julia's first month

We are amazed by how much our little one has grown! She likes looking at herself in the mirror and staring at her black and white baby books during tummy time. We had a great visit with Gramma Mary Ann and Como Harmonee SoonSung. It was good to see my old volleyball teammate Belle who was visiting Seattle. Julia and I are enjoying the Mama-Baby group we attend each week.

Ch'uSok 2009

Today was the Korean harvest festival Ch'uSok. We went downtown for the festivities and watched actors perform a traditional marriage ceremony and drum dance. It was fun making those Korean-style origami baskets!

Celebrating 8 Years Together

Zach and I celebrated our 8 year anniversary from when we first met. We went to the Ballard Locks and took Muppet along. She enjoyed chasing the geese. The locks were filled with huge jumping salmon. Later that evening we had dinner at Seastar in downtown Bellevue.

Muppet's First Birthday

Muppet was born August 28, 2008. We celebrated her first at the off-leash dog park with her boyfriend Humphrey. They had such a great time!

Nursery

Here is our baby's nursery so far. I had a lot of fun painting and decorating the letters of Julia's name.

Doodle Romp Weekend

Muppet had a great time with her boyfriend Humphrey at the off-leash dog park. We had a great time celebrating Humphrey's first birthday the following day. Humphrey's mom Nik made an irresistible doggie birthday cake for the mutts.

Summer Vacation 2009

Zach and I had such a great visit with family the past week! We attended the German family reunion, celebrated Madison's 1st birthday, celebrated a late Lunar New Year, and were able to enjoy a very fun baby shower thanks to the Lee girls. We got to visit Zach's work buddies at the National Harbor for lunch at McCormick's and Shmick's and my work friends Pam and Leslie in Bowie. We even made time to visit Harmonee at the Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf. That evening we visited Tracy and Tom in Manassas. The next afternoon we were able to catch up with Stefanie at Topolinos before heading up to New York to see Zach's family. We had a baby dinner celebration at Zach's grandmother's place with his friend Bill Borbeau and his wife. We played a "name-that-babyfood" game and I won! The next day I spent with Zach's mom Mary Ann while the boys went to the Lemons car race together. Mary Ann and I had a great time chatting and taking Pumpkin to the off-leash dog park. Overall, we were suprised at how much we were able to do in such a short period of time but we were so grateful to have that time with family and friends after being away for nearly a year.

KeyIn and Madison Visit

KeyIn and Madison came to visit for two weeks and we got to have so much fun together! We went to see Star Trek at the iMAX and enjoyed a nice mother's day dinner at The Fisherman's restaurant downtown at pier 57. Madison rode the carousel and the ferris wheel for the first time. We got to visit Snoqualmie Falls. KeyIn got her hair cut by a student at the Aveda Institute that took over 4 hours! We took Madison swimming at the local pool. She seemed to really enjoy it! On their last day we went to do some Korean style karaoke (no-rae-bang) and had so much fun! KeyIn sang a great rendition of Barracuda.

It's a baby girl!

Fremont Troll

Went to visit the Fremont Troll over the weekend. It's so intimidating to see it in person! I wish we could have taken Muppet with us but we were on our way to a museum.
